If you have ever been to Sweden in December, you have probably noticed the burning candles and lit up Christmas ornaments in the windows bringing lights during one of darkest months of the year. To create that special Christmas mood.

A weekend in December only mean one thing for getting even more into Christmas mood: Glögg party! (Mulled wine, or Glüwein party). You may attend 2 or even 3 of these parties in a weekend, because everybody hosts Glögg parties.

The dark December days are perfect for spending time with friends and have a Glögg or two accompanied with homemade cakes, biscuits and other snacks.

Everyone leaves the party with rosy cheeks from the Glögg as heading back home in the cold winter air.
